SJG had the honor of receiving 10 White Jeep Travel Bugs. Eight of which were distributed throughout South Jersey in a unique fashion. One WJTB was hidden by itself (not in a cache) in a unique location in each county in South Jersey: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem. The coordinates to each Jeep was posted at 12:01 AM on June 29th. Within an hour and a half, 6 Jeeps made their way into cacher’s hands. Within a week, all eight were claimed. The two remaining were put into local caches. These Jeeps are much larger than the YJTBs released the year before. They don't fit into small caches. They have some other neat features as well: Each Jeep has it’s own name (such as Orsen, Gerrit, Forde, Ashla) to make tracking them easier; they are self-propelling (you pull it backwards and release it and the Jeep will drive forward); and the doors open and shut! This year, gc.com and Jeep stopped the policy of notifying you when caches nearby received a Jeep. This has made finding them, for some, a real surprise. We hope that all WJTB seekers will be successful in finding at least one this year! In addition to the 10 we received, a few other local cachers received some from North Jersey and Delaware. There are quite a few out there, just waiting to be logged!
