 As part of our efforts to give back to the community, we collect toys during our holiday event for children in So. Jersey. This year, we received a special Thank You letter which reads in part: "Your donations were used to assist children at the Cumberland County Women's Center...It was truly a blessing being able to go through the toys that you donated and matching them with the appropriate child. Just a few examples: children asked for a fire truck, Bratz doll, super heroes comic books and art supplies. They were all available among the toys that were donated by GC of SJ....What makes it more special is the fact that these toys went to the children at the Women's Center. I can't imagine having to watch mom get abused so much that she has to flee, then having to spend Christmas in a shelter. The toys will hopefully at least make their holiday a little more tolerable and a lot more cheerful. ...please pass along my sincerest gratitude to everyone who donated these toys, on behalf of the recipients, and remind them of how many smiles they helped bring to so many little faces. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and the best of New Years." |
