| How do I load my avatar? |
Loading an avatar into the system is easy.
First you must make sure that your avatar is saved in either a .jpg or .gif format that is not larger than 80 pixels high by 80 pixels wide.
Next you go to the USER MENU on the home page and select VIEW ACCOUNT. At the top of your account screen you will see a button labeled AVATAR. Click this button and the avatar upload screen will appear. Use the BROWSE button to locate the avatar on your hard drive and then click the SUBMIT button.

| Open up another web browser and log on to GC.com Click on the “My Cache Page” button. Here you will find a rectangular box icon that lists your Finds & Hides labeled “View My Profile”. Click on the box/link to view your profile. Cut and paste that URL (or web address) from the Address bar of your web browser into your profile here on this website. |
| How do I send a private message/email to another member? |
There are four ways to do this:
#1 - Click on "Inbox" link in the User Menu on left hand side of screen. Press the "Send" button at the bottom of the table. That will open up an email client. Scroll through the memberlist to select who you wish to send an email to. You must include a subject in the subject line or the email will not be sent and it will be deleted! Type the body of your email. When you are finished press "Send"
#2 - If you are in the forums and wish to send a private message to someone who has posted, use the drop down box with the poster's name in it and select "PM." Selecting "Email" will send your message to their email address.
#3 - Choose from the memberlist. In order to do that, you must click the link on the left hand side that says "Find User" You can either fill in the boxes or leave them blank and scroll to the bottom and hit the "Submit" button. Look for the member you wish to email in the table. Click on the email link or the "PM" link and the email client will open up.
#4 - Use the scrolling box on the homepage to select a member. Clicking on the member name will take you to their profile. Select "PM" and the email client will open up. |
| How do I select a different theme as my default? |
| When you have found a theme you really enjoy, you simply need to check the box underneath and that theme will be set as your default theme. The setting can be changed at any time by selecting a new theme and re-checking the box. |
| How do I upload pictures and what are the size limitations? |
In order to upload a picture you must click on the “Photo” link in the “Main Menu” on the left hand side of the screen.
Once in the Photo section of the website you will see a link or an icon "Add Photo" to upload photos. Click on it and fill in the information.
Please remember that in order to upload a photo you must first make sure that it is no larger than 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high. If your photo is larger than this it will not be uploaded until you resize it. |
| How do I have the weather module display local weather? |
Absolutely!! The weather module is totally customizable for each individual user.
Right below the weather you should see a link called "change settings" to do that.
When you change settings, you must pick the country, weather station, and how you want units displayed (Imperial is degrees Fairenheit) and click the "Save these settings" button.
