| While the administrators and moderators of this site will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to this site express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence SJG will not be held liable. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, libelous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to your membership being terminated and/or you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed) without notice. The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. Creating multiple accounts for a single user is not allowed. | How do you get the size/color/font/bold/italics/underline/strikethrough to work? |
| Simply place your text in the little box above the posting area. Then click whatever feature you want added to it (you have to scroll through size, color, font). You will see that the the word "SAMPLE" will change as you add things. When you are finished, merely hit the "Add" button and it will appear in the post area! |
| How do I add a poll to the forum? |
| 1. Go to FORUMS from the main menu. 2. Press the NEW POLL button 3. A message box will come up - type a name (for the thread that will be created to go with the poll) in the subject line and a short description in the message area. Hit the "submit" button. 4. Then the ADD POLL screen will come up. Add your poll question where indicated and answers above each colored bar. When finished, hit "submit." |
| How do I reply to a post or quote a post? |
| To reply to an individual post, merely hit the reply button in that person's post. To quote another post, you must hit the "Quote" button which will add the quoted post to your reply in a quote box. |
| How do I create a new topic in a forum? |
| To create a new topic/thread under a forum, you must click on the "New Topic" button in the upper right hand corner. |
| How do I quote? |
| The second to the last button (its next to the orange face) will open up a prompt box. Simply type in the quote! |
| How do I add an image hyperlink? |
| The next button over from the email (on the right) is image hyperlink. Merely press it and follow the prompts. It will ask for the URL where the image is stored, it will ask you if you want the image to appear on the right or left hand side of the post and it will ask you what width you'd like to use. I recommend using 200 pixels. |
| How do I add an email link? |
| Press the envelope button (located above "SIZE"), input your information and it will be added to your post. |
| How do I add a URL? |
| Hit the button with the chain link in the top left hand corner (the very first button above "SIZE"). Another box will open up for you to add the url and any text your want. When you are finished, it will add it into your post. |
| What does the drop down box with the poster's name do? |
| This box allows you to quickly: - see the poster's profile - send them a Private Message (PM) - send them an email without ever leaving the forums. |
| What does the drop down box above the forums do? |
| The drop down box gives the user the ability to quickly: - to mark all forums read/or unread - view all posts since your last visit - view all new posts since your last visit - view all topics - view unreplied topics - view unread topics The Digest module is not active, so you may not be able to "View Digest" CLICK - takes these options out of the drop down box and makes them text links you click on HOVER - takes these options out of the drop down box and makes them text links you have to hover on momentarily. SELECT - places all of the options back into the drop down box (note: you can only see SELECT when you are in CLICK or HOVER mode) |
